Every great neighborhood pizzeria has a story, and ours began nearly eight decades ago. In 1947, the Ottuso family opened their first pizza shop in Harlem, serving classic New York-style pizza made with simple, high-quality ingredients. In 1959, they moved the business to its current home in the Pelham Bay neighborhood of the Bronx.
In the mid 1980s, brothers John and Cosimo Tiso joined the team as teenagers, learning every part of the business from the ground up. Their passion and dedication led them to purchase Louie & Ernie's in 1987, proudly continuing the traditions that have made the pizzeria a neighborhood favorite for generations.
Our secret has never been a secret at all. For over 65 years, we've believed that great pizza starts with high quality ingredients, time-honored recipes, and taking pride in every pie that comes out of the oven. We don't chase trends or overcomplicate what we do. Instead, we've stayed committed to making the same classic New York-style pizza that our customers have come to love.
